Face north........................

All day we had light snow in the air and we got 3 to 4 inches out of it.  Enough to make things look pretty and enough that you could give the inner trails a try.  The lake effect bands are starting to set up south of us.  So I need everyone to face north and blow like all heck, to get them to move north to us.  So like always, it's going to be a wait and see game again.  It's times like this that I'd rather have it do nothing at all or give us enough to turn things around.  This in between stuff drives everyone nuts.

Today's video.....

  2. this is why the trails up there are always dirt , you get an inch and someone has to get out and make a mess . cant just wait till you get something to ride on . Im done up there ill ride where people respect the trail system .

    1. very true. Like I said a few days ago, SELFISH people. Only out for themselves.

    2. I totally disagree with you both! The disrespectful people are the throttle jockeys who hammer down on the trails & spin the snow off the trails whether it's a few inches or a few feet! Also some people plan their trips & time off a year in advance & just can't drop everything to go when conditions are sweet! Like Steve said a few weeks ago since groomers don't have much to work with the few sleds are helping to pack the lake effect snow down. I for one always respect the trails and fellow riders!

    3. I disagree with you! Its the guys that are out there with an inch of snow that wreck it. And sorry but steve isnt always right. With the warm temps sleds will only reduce base. The snow is melting from the sleds and its was not cold enought to freeze. So there is potential base that is now gone. And so dont plan a trip a year in advance. Thats the dumbest thing I have heard. Thats no excuse to ruin it for the rest of us. You dont respect the trails. Another guy out for himself.

  3. nah...no way will there be any decent riding this weekend. You need a 10" base at least with the holiday traffic. And the 3" of lake effect is worth 1" normal snow. Wreck your sled.

    1. Presidents holiday is skunked !!!...the snow drought continues....little dribs and drabs of snow don't mean squat when you have hammerheads going out and riding without grooming...get a brain will ya people...stay off the trails til the bigger snow comes...then stay home so I can ride midweek...LOL...

    1. worry about yourself? Guess you are one of those guy that ONLY worries about himself and has no respect for anyone else. Some want to ride? No. We ALL want to ride. But its guys like you that destroy the trails when there is almost no snow. You guys wreck the trails then are the first ones to say they are no good. Damn kids stay home.

    2. not the least bit jealous . I ride midweek when there is snow and guess what ? there's no snow . 4 inches is no snow . just because you plan your vacation a year in advance that means you have a right to tear shit up because im sure the whole world stops just for you . you must be 12 maybe 13 ?
