No question.........

We need more snow, there's no question about it.  But what we do have, seems to be enough to keep things cool and keep the track from sticking.  However I'm sure it's doing a number on the carbides.  As for traffic, there isn't a thousand sleds around town, like most weekends in the winter.  But I'd say there's a hundred or two by what I saw.

Today's Video.........

  1. Rode OF and inlet today , trails are much better than last week! You have to pick and choose but some great riding aval. Made it to brantingham, came home thru confusion flats although a little thin in spots. Stopped at Stillwater Thought about beaver river but not sure how thick the ice is , took the tracks to big moose Like Steve said we need more snow. Finished the day off with a few beers at. Trails end. THINK SNOW

  2. What you do for snowmobiling is great, you keep us informed of conditions and make people feel guilty if the don't stay at your motel. Your rooms are very outdated and dirty attitude is among the worst I've seen And remember. C. YA. Which is also a little corny

    1. WOW!! You are way off base with your comments! Steve runs a great clean motel! He could care less if you stay with him or not. His motel is always the first one to put on the no vacancy sign because he does have his following of repeat customers. Glad you don't like it cause we don't need or want people with your mentality! So glad you won't be in a room next to us!!!!!

    2. Steve also leaves the comfort of his warm home to manage at least 8 cams around town for the benefit to all snowmobilers!! He goes out to clear, reset, etc. Cams from top of McCauley Mt to stillwater! Also spends countless hours on computer to keep them all up & running. He doesn't have to do any of this & his motel will still be full!! Steve does this on his own time and expects nothing in return! My guess is the you don't even know Steve & have never been to his motel! What a jerk you are!!!!!

    3. Well you have your opinion thats fine. But I have been on this blog for years and never had I heard Steve talk about you should stay at his place. So no idea what you are talking about. Guess you have nothing else better to do with your life than complain. Thats going to get you far in life kiddo.

  3. sounds like you need to find another site and place to stay. I don't see you giving trail reports

  4. Wow! I can't believe people's attitudes, I have never meet Steve in person, I have never stayed at his Motel, but Steve goes out and makes a nice site to blog, he drives around on his time and tells people the truth about the trails. I have been visiting this site for a very long time and base my drive to old forge from PA. Based on Steves reports only. If any one has a negative attitude toward a guy that is helping all of us out on his time should not be able to post. ( if this were my site I would not post negative comments) Steve does post all the negative, shows me he is a stand up guy!
I'm sure there are others that feel like this. I'm headed up Right now! Marginal trail conditions and all!

    1. well chuck thats why you dont have a blog. People need to see the negative comments as well as the positive ones. Thats the purpose of a blog.
What shouldnt be posted is comments like when you say "I'm headed up Right now! Marginal trail conditions and all".
Comments like that dont help anyone here and nobody cares what you are doing. Hope you have an extra set of carbides. LOL

  5. this site has nothing to do with steve or his motel. its about a MAN that is taking HIS own time to keep fellow snowmobilers informed of conditions weather or events in the area. its quite simple if you don't like or believe whats posted here just move on to another site Thank you!!
