Heat wave today...............

Our day started out sunny, but in the afternoon the clouds started rolling back in and then we had some light snow in the air.  We also had a heat wave this afternoon, as the temp got up to 20 and you could tell it did.  Because all that nice stuff the state puts on Rt 28, that is mixed in with the snow in the driveway, started to work and the snow pack soften up.

Today's Video......................

  5. Doesn't anyone know how to get a sled out by themselves anymore?

    Quick lesson:
1.pack the snow with your boots on one entire side of the machine really good.
    2. move machine onto packed snow,
    3. make sure belly pan is clear of excess snow.
    4. Make sure no one is in your path out of the ditch
    5. Wack the gas while leaning back and yell "FREE WILLY"

    Now your out

  7. Lol. Yep that's how to do it. One night, years ago, a sled got it's ski caught in a railroad track in thendara. We tried reverse, towing and nothing. That thing was wedged into a channel section of track. I flagged down a group of machines. 5 guys lifted the machine up and twisted it and freed it from the track. After that, it was strait to the steak house for some nerve medication and a big steak. Moral of the story: watch how you turn around in the dark over R.R. tracks!!
