Looks pretty good..............

We woke up this morning to snow and I'd say we got around 3 inches.  It's a little hard to tell, as the wind was blowing pretty good all morning.  The record ride for yesterday was a group of four guys and they put on 256 miles.  If you're stuck at home this weekend and not able to get out.  It will at least, be a good weekend to webcam watch.  I caught the groomer going out just after I put the video together, so here's the pic.

Today's Video...................

  2. Just pulled into our camp. Nice 5 1/2 hr drive from Long Island. Can't believe how many sleds I saw out just driving into town. Almost looked like the old days!!! Looks like it's going to be a fun weekend with kids.

  3. Good to see all the bars packed on the cams, putting themselves and everyone else on the trail in jeopardy. One of the main reasons I ride midweek. More sobriety checkpoints are needed.

    1. I won't disagree with you, that there are some that drink to much, ride and could hurt themselves or others. But to make it sound like the only thing people are doing on the weekends, is drinking at the bars and riding, I don't feel is very fair. Especially this and Pres. weekend as you see more families in the area than other weekends.

    2. You ANON Posters need to go away. That's all You can think of. There are also people who DONT drink at all anymore that come to Of and other areas Upstate to escape the typical party behavior. I've rode OF trails for decades. Don't call this a party town trail system. Even those that drink are respectful and I say this as an ANON former ALKY as U so wanted to blast people who drink . Get a life dude. Thanx for your reports Steve. OF is a surreal experience for the spiritual Minded as well.

    3. Did I say everyone, no. I don't drink but frequent the bars for food, usually a few tables are eating and the rest are at the bars. Most people don't drink and ride, but the few that do make it hazardous for everyone else. Snowmobiling is dangerous to begin with, add a few drinks and it could be deadly. 90 % of fatal accidents are from alcohol and speed.

  4. Great news on conditions for this week so I'm heading up after the (long) weekend warriors vacate the trail system. I'll be up Tuesday. I too only ride midweek . Anyone who rides decent, has a reliable and maintained sled, doesn't need a smoke or drink break every 25 mins. up for a 150-175ish day on Wednesday or Thursday??? Can't believe I haven't been out this season yet. Usually have 1000+ miles on by now. At least conditions will be good. Temps look great for some snow too....

  5. shut it Tim. You sound a lil stuck up. come on man. U cant say u ride mid week for that. The real reason is that typically trails are Golden mid week. Ur quite fortunate to be able to do so as I do as well.. But Not to avoid the weekenders. The weekends are best because of the people that come up from all over the east coast . Get off your High horse pansy. Even if no one had a frothy beverage the sport is dangerous.. Personally , when trails are badf and haven't been groomed You learn how to ride and control the beast blahhhhh

  7. Hey all I can give you an update on some trails. I was up all week. Started Monday the 12th and came home today the 17th. It was a pleasure riding all the trails this week had a blast. Trails got more torn up towards the weekend but not all bad. Took a ride to pine tree inn which was a greta ride trails over there were just as good as OF. Hopefully soon I will be back up again to ride up all are safe when doing so.

  8. No-No-No Nothing against the weekend vibe. We party on weekends too and the scene is very fun all over town, just don't do much real riding other than inner loops and such. I'm a spoiled yeah. My girlfriend and I come up for event weekends and I come up solo to ride midweek. Love OF and the Adirondacks!!!
