Stillwater says it all..............

We have had light snow in the air today and I'd give it an inch or two at this point.  This snow is the really nice packing stuff, that builds the base fast.  Everyone I have talked with has said the same thing.  Riding is good and they are having a nice time this weekend.  Check out today's video and you'll see what I mean, when you see Stillwater.

Today's video for....................

  1. Steve,

I would like to agree with what the other poster wrote in regard to the trail to Brantingham.

Having ridden to The Hill a few times this season, the trail from OF (until you reach the trails maintained by the other association) has been terrible.

I doubt the town is trying to keep the sleds in town, but by keeping that trail smooth they would get more out-of-towners into town. This goes for #5 also. They should double up on the passes made to these frequently traveled arteries.

BTW this site is a much better place to visit since you started monitoring the posts. Keep up the great work!

    2. there simply is not enough snow to keep grooming over and over. Trail 5? 5 was actually snooth but again not enough snow. You need alot of snow before grooming is effective.

  5. The trail to Brantingham has allways been an adventure and a experience especially when you clank skiis with the guy who's flying around those tight corners on the way. The snow is sparce as you go down in elevation. Thru the years, all the different people that have come up with me allways remember going on 7a to the pine tree. There are no guaratees in this life. I come from a time when the suspension on a sled was your spine and groomers? That was something on a ski slope.

    2. Brantingham Trail probably doesn't get groomed as often because it is so far from town and probably eats up a whole shift.

    3. bull. Was out all day today. Just about every trail was good except for trail 1. And actually the trails dont get that much of a workout Steve. 90% of sledders ride Stillwater road to stillwaters to go drink in the bar all day. Thats all these guys do. I put on over 150 miles on Saturday and passed only a few dozen of sleds on the trails. Its no wonder they all complain about the road plowing.

    7. at 6:08 PM. Dont get upset cause you just ride to stillwaters to sit in the bar all day. And sorry I dont spin my track in the corners like you do cause you are in such a hurry to get to the bar and destroy the trails for the few people that actually are there to ride and not drink all day. If you think they had more fun sitting at the bar all day like losers than out riding, you should just sell your sled. Only idiots drink and then go out riding. But stay at the bar. Better for us REAL sledders.
