  3. I think I am officially getting old. I am having a tough time understanding the abundance of sledders who are dressed like guys in the sledneck videos, sleds set up for 10 feet of powder with shovels in their packs and avalanche beacons... can someone tell me the avalanche report for oold forge this week? My heli-skiing pilot was asking

    1. One year about 10 miles out from old forge i lost the axle on my trailer going over some bumps. Nobody got hurt. Got the trailer and machines towed to the motel, it was snowing heavy. Just as we got on them to ride it rained all night and saturday.sunday morning we woke up to a foot of snow and put on 150 miles. What a weekend! I came home with a new trailer and some wild stories to tell. Moral of the story: go while you can. The inner trails hold up well. Have fun!
