Getting better..................

As you will see in the video today, the lake effect guns have been gracing the north country with snow the last two days.  We have gotten around a half a foot, some areas have seen even more and it looks like it's going to snow into the night.  That makes it even sweeter, because there are times when the lake effect is in just one area and you really can't ride out of it.  This has been a bonus, because the way it was looking earlier this week, it was over for the season.  But now, who knows we might get another week in yet.

  2. Rode last night (Thursday) from the Milk Plant in West Leyden to High Market Inn to Whiskey Jack's and back (east of Old Forge). Trails were absolutely amazing. Had to ride at least 150 feet behind each sled as powder was flying everywhere. Ice base, not really groomed but drifts everywhere 2-3 feet deep. Debating between Tug Hill and Old Forge for the weekend. Old Forge is looking real good on the cams right now.
Either way, you will not be disappointed. Temps are just right. Some of the best fresh powder riding all season.

  4. Looks Like Old Forge got blasted with the white gold. Nice to see some decent lake effect overnight accumulation for a change!

    3. I agree... there have been years when they couldnt groom and still had the trail permit money in hand. 10 of us are planning to come up next weekend and some grooming will help make a few more weekends possible.
