Not much to report............

What can I tell you that you don't already know.  Some of the trails are good and some are thin.  But we have something to ride on and that's more than alot of places have.  Just had a guest come back from putting on 125 miles for the day, so far.  He said he has seen it worse over the years and is headed back out after he has something to eat.  Temps are looking good for the week, now all we need is to get some white stuff to go with them.

Today's Video for...........

    1. Anonymous,

    2. Took it down cause he said the hill was good.
5 months of mud season coming. A shame no reason to stay @ your fleabag.
      See Ya!

    3. No! He didn't say the hill was good. He gave a good report for the hill and then went on to say "Tug is awesome & OF sucks" Nothing wrong with him posting conditions on the hill. Because we have guests, that ride to there, from here all the time. So he was helping out the poeple that ride from Old Forge. But I'm tired of the OF sucks or bashing of people stuff. Just like I deleted a post of someone bashing Tug. As for your closing statement. What can I say. The way you presented yourself, shows what and who you are.

    5. Steve, 11:24 is obviously of low intelligence. He's probaly still trying to read your response let alone comprehend it. OF is a better place if his type stays away.

    1. The groomers are out, 7 days a week, two shifts a day, weather and conditions permitting. Don't quote me, but I think they start at 7 in the morning. Back in the day when I worked on the groomers, you would stay on the main trails during the weekend just to keep up and during the week you would hit everything else. But with the equipment they have now, they can do so much more, in a shorter time, I'm not sure what their pattern is.

  8. The ultimate solution would be to have these snow-making machines out on the trails. Now that would be state of the art grooming! Or McCaulley could blow it into the back of trucks and haul it to where it's wearing on the trails. Just bein' me! LOL
We are hoping to come up Monday thru Thursday for some riding - praying and dancing. The latter is not a pretty sight.
Keep up the good work Steve. We really appreciate you and all you do!

  11. From weather underground scientific discussion...

    Long term /Friday through Tuesday/...
HPC guidance. Most models now on board with a major winter event
for the end of the week. Low pressure will be near Virginia Beach
at the start of the period...with snow already overspreading our
forecast area. The low will track to south of western Nova Scotia
by Saturday morning...intensifying rapidly. A period of rain or a
snow mix is a possibility briefly during the day on Friday in the
lower section of the middle Hudson Valley...but for now will say it is
all snow. Otherwise...an all-snow event is anticipated with
confidence...with activity winding down swiftly during the day on
Friday. A flow turning northerly enhanced by strong high pressure
moving in by Sunday ensures that we have an all-snow event beyond
    Friday afternoon.

As it looks right now...the low is expected to stay well enough to
the south...such that 6 to 10 inches of total snow accumulation
    looks most reasonable...with the greater amounts...of course...to
the south and east in our forecast area. More is possible...but so
is less...depending on how the system evolves. This looks to be a
    broad-area snow-producer.

    2. looks like ScottyB is getting his wish!...guess there is enough agreement in the models that the weather folks are calling for a BIG snow in New England..and several inches in the DAKs...yeah we are still 36 hours out..but it looks promising!

  12. Yeah, I was curious about the lakes too...we made it to Long Lake last year in about an hour and a half cruisin 4th, raquette, forked, and long...I would love to do that again soon depending on local opinion of the lakes??
