The weekend is here !

With extra things to do in the area.  Beside the norm, there is the Ice Bowl Hockey and Zippy's Ride for Kids.  This morning was extra special, as the power went out for about two hours around 9:30. That always makes life fun at below zero temps and trying to get things ready for the incoming guests.

Today's Video for........

I really wish more people would use this blog for its intended purpose instead of abusing a great town that may just be trying to generate some tourism. If you don't like OF, please don't come anymore. More for the rest of us that love the place. There may be at least a 6 inch base in alot of places, but sure there are also going to be some icy washed out corners. Yes there will be HEAVY traffic this weekend and the trails will pay the price, but hopefully all the businesses that have been struggling for the past few years wull get a little relief.

    3. Steve might understand this.
when i use to do alot of snowplowing I found that the people that called/complained were the ones that paid very slow. The people who you never heard
from paid very fast. So the people who are with the
negative attitudes are people that I would not want to work for.
      Just a passing thought.

  5. Hey Steve,
I have been going up to OF for 16 years and I always have a great time. Sure the main reason I go up is to ride but when riding can't be had or is not as prime there are plenty of things to do. Thanks for the videos. The number of webcams and videos you maintain really help tell the truth about the trails.

    thanks again.

  6. I've been riding of for almost 20 years....and I'm from jersey and so are 30 or so others I know and we absolutely love the area ...and spend tons of money there so don't stereo type everyone!....I really miss when this blog was for trail condions and hearing about people rides to different areas. I USED TO VISIT THE SITE EVERYDAY even in the sumner. But I can't stand all the nonsense anymore!! Steve you do an incredible service to the sport and old forge its a shame there's so many neg people. Half the people that complain are the ones with 2" picks fishtailing and throwing the snow of the trail. I followed a guy few weeks back roosting every corner throwing sno of the trail. Then he sat at the bar and bitched about the bad condions and dirt in the corners!!

    1. George, I'd bet that it's the same few people that are so negetive, and not a big number. the same ones I've seen this year cross a snow covered road in town and spin it down to the pavement or like you said on the trails. They don't speak for the town on that Jersey stuff or anything. If the sport is lucky one of them as of 3:30 this morning up on Rondaxe Rd. will never squeeze the throttle again (yes dead).
