Looks like it's over!

The temp has been dropping slowly all day and we are below freezing at 2pm, with light snow, from time to time.  The big question is, are we going to see enough snow over the next few days to get us back in shape for the upcoming weekend.  By what I am seeing there is a chance for the lakes to fire up mid week, but that is going to be a wait and see type of thing.  If anything, it looks like the lakes are going to get a chance to freeze up this time.  A guest sent me some pictures he took this weekend and I included them in the video. Here is the links to them so you can see them better. www.oldforgeny.org/1.jpg  www.oldforgeny.org/2.jpg

  1. At least we got very little R (less than 0.10" at Indian Lake) this weekend.

We'll live to ride another day :)

  2. It's early. Might miss a weekend, but everything is showing winter cold and for a good stretch. Plenty of lake effect and one or two storms will bring it all back strong. A good eight to ten weeks of it !

    1. The prediction is---wait for it----u never know till 48-24 hrs beforehand. Sometimes with some predictions u never know till it starts falling, history has taught us this. I suggest using the Mcauly mountain Weather underground report. Thats as good as any. Stop hassling the guy for weather predictions. The info is out there. LOOK for it.

    3. I agree with 5:58. You are a total rump to ask Steve what the weather will be in 4 days. People trained and paid to it can't get it right a day or two away and you want to set Steve up for what? So, get off your wide backside and figure it out.

    1. No more than any other year when conditions are bad. I can set it up that all posts have to go to me first, before it posts. But I really don't want to lock it down that much. But if some poeple can't play nice I will.
