Got 2 to 3 inches and maybe...........

more to come.  Most of the forecasts are calling for snow on and off most of the weekend.  But like always, till it's on the ground, it doesn't mean anything more than a prediction.  They did just post a notice for possible lake effect events Sunday night into Tuesday, cross your fingers.  I thought about pulling the sled out and getting some video of the trails this morning.  But after thinking about it more, I changed my mind.  Why? Well everything is looking pretty right now, after this new snow we just got.  It's like getting a cheap paint job on your car.  It looks good at first, but after time, it chips and peals and you're back to what you started with.

Today's Video for......

  2. I was up last weekend, but left on Saturday at noon. the inner trails were excellent (even Saturday AM) So I agree, that if you want to ride Old Forge inner trail system I dont think you will be dissappointed, IMHO just a few more inches would bring it back to good/very good

    1. trail ends where you enter the res. to get to stillwater. You will figure it out. Try downloading a updated map. If the roads are toastd your screwed anyway. Res. isnt safe yet. You can always send marion smoke signals.

    3. YOU Go out on the trail to brantingham then the the new trail is to the right then comes out little before stillwater so you have to ride the road a little bit not far.

  9. hahahaha!!! smoke signals he says. That new trail sucks anyway...A little bit of snow and constant cold and stillwater road is fine. Just keep dipping into the burms to cool down the slide rails..

    2. people are starting to ride resevoir. If you have a wife and kids and a family that will miss you, THEN DONT. Take the trails and go arouned. 10 minutes wont kill you being that you no place to go but ride.. Dont be foolish!!!!!!!

  11. Yeah that Res is scary enough when it's frozen..I still think 4th lake is the best barometer for saftey...seems the locals get a good feel from there and the chatter at Daikers...looks like good snow today !!
