Boy did we...........

have some R over night.  Someone else posted about it also.  If it was only cold enough for it to have been snow, we would have gotten a nice base started.  But you know how the saying goes.  Wish in one and.......
So those of you that haven't been dancing.  Get up off of your butt and get moving.  I Don't care if you look like a fool or not!  For any of you that have seen me, know I do.

Check out this video for seat belt safety from the UK.

  4. Twas the week before Christmas..

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When all thru the state, not a snowflake was falling,
    even upstate.
The stockings were hung on the handle bars with care,
as the trails remained unbelieveably bare.
With another snowless season begining to start,
we may as well sell 'em and take up golf with a cart.
So with new iron in the barn and a trailer to boot,
guess we'll stay home and wait for the Christmas loot!

The formula is 1/2 the bz dont bother with winter plus 2/3 of the people have enough $ to not work= We dont need the traileresque escapades.
Thank god, TOW is phasing out sleds.

    3. Remember that when the money is gone too. Those who have been here for generations came here to get away from you city AS#@***S, and we love snowmobiling too. So take your money and wall street bonuses and go back to where you came from. Wake up and look around,in this economy who can afford to loose income during winter. Thats exactly the mindset that will destroy this town, arrogant city bigmouths who think they buy their way. Sleds have always been a part of Old Forge and if you dont like it kiss my trunk bag.

  13. Just rode Inlet trails, not much there It looks white but is paste.. If you have the Ba**s you can make it down the boat ramp and shoot across 4th to the beach and up thru eagle bay. However I would not recomend returning this way, not enough run b4 you hit the water. Ride safe more snow to follow

  18. wow so ive been going to OF almost 20 years, and followed steves cam as long as i can remember, and i cant believe the venom in the posts. Early 90s no place like OF,i dont ever remember hatred at any level either local or tourist...but my how times change. Possibly this explains the way the trails appear to be maintained in the last few years. sounds like the locals have no use for snowmobilers any longer, which is sad to me. i always loved going to OF but if the locals are looking down on the sport and the TOW is going to use the fees from the trail passes to groom for the locals only sunday night to thursday,,,and feed you every excuse you can imagine as to why the groomers are parked weekends, well theres other places to ride...TOW has alot to proove this year in my book...or the locals can have it all to themselves. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL

    1. I wont even eat in that town. I'm worried about what they do to the sledders food.

After 9/11 just lots of money in the town. Not rocking anymore when they needed the money. The town had made loads of moves that seem like they dont want sleds. Cant argue with it.

The Art Center gives them steady winter bz that isnt a bunch of crazies. I include myself in the crazies :)

    2. New York Snowmobiling, the trail fund,110 reg fees, the NYSSA,TUG HILL,TOW,that joke called Lake George(a winter carnival without a winter)....well they all suck! BRING BACK THE POTASH INN

  19. What happens to $$$$$ unused from sale of trail passes from the previous season? When the passes are sold and the season is limited one must assume there is a surplus from the prior season. Ive paid for one every year I go to the Adirondacks, and would expect to see results for the money spent. I wont mention what state, but not far away I have ridden on four occasions in the past two years as New York snow was marginal, and you see 4...6...groomers all over on all days...if you groom they will come. Can you say "SNOWMOBILE CAPITOL OF THE PAST".

  21. amen to Rd Rooney ,we all have sleds in the barn sitting. I would rather have one awesome ride to remember than a handful of rides like the other people are bragging about. IT must be a happy hour ride , looks good after a few!!! You sound better after a few more. we didnt here this crap in other bad years.
