Who's the wise guy?

That put in an order for snow? Late last night it was snowing and sticking to the cars and this morning this is what the top of McCauley is looking like. It's OK if you want it and you're welcome to it. But please don't order it for us! It was really getting nice here in the north country and spring was on it's way.

  1. Sorry you had to have more winter Steve. Hopefully it will melt quick, we did need the rain down in Jersey, no snow equals no runoff or meltdown, equals drought.

    1. Nope everything is right on schedule. Pool will be open for Father's Day weekend, as it is most years. If you open it before that all you are doing is spending a pile of money for nothing! Yes we did have a few hot days a week ago but since then it has been cold and wet.

    3. So far the spring has been good and summer looks like it is going to be busy. But just like the winter, if the weather isn't nice things can change fast. I always look at it this way....My feet hit the floor this morning Be Happy!

    1. So far this season it has been warmer than most. But when it comes to Mother Nature you never know for sure. I'll keep my fingers crossed, as it's no fun when it R's on the 4th for the fireworks.

  10. It won't be long. One thing is for sure. The lakes can't get much warmer than they are this summer. It will be interesting to see how the lake effect guns fire up this winter.

  11. Hi,,

Enjoying your blog, keep up the good work.

I can't believe it took us this long to find a "Northern" Motel blog.

We have the El Rancho Motel in North Fort Myers, Florida in zipcode 33903 (SW Fl). It's a clean, economically-friendly and quiet "old Florida" environment with a little different weather than you folks enjoy.

We don't get much snow, but we sure get a LOT of sun around here. Hurricane Isaac missed us, so we're back to partying hard and awaiting your return next winter.

If you ever find yourselves headed this way, we'd be honored to have you stay with us!

    Our site is here:

  15. Hi ACZ1turbo,

I did the camper thing many years ago, when it was still a KOA. It was nice having everything here and not having to pull a trailer back and forth all the time.

    Hope you enjoy it,
    Steve
