Old Forge, NY Trail Report 3-3-12

Well I hate to say it but they got the forecast right. We got above freezing over night and into this morning with some R. The R could of been allot worse than it was and it didn't really wash that much snow away, but the roads are toast and things did get soft. The forecast is calling for teens tonight and some snow off of the lake. Sunday and Monday nights it looks like close to or below zero both nights. If you look at the temps for the end of the week you may want to try and get some riding in early this week. It may be limited and not the best of conditions, it all depends on what we get the next day or so for snow. The end is coming soon and you better get in that last ride if you wanted to.

Here's Today's Video for...........

  1. came up wensday and had fantastic riding for 3 days. today was loose and slushy and trails are in need of grooming. i guess they couldn't groom today because of the soft slushy snow. i don't understand why they didn't groom friday and friday night. i did manage to find some trails that were smoothe but had to travel, such as road to bratingham was good, as the day wore on the bumpier they got. it was my last day and probably my last ride of the year so i managed to put on 140 miles. when conditions are like this if people would just slow down and stop ripping up the trails everyone would enjoy it more.all total rode over 700 miles in 4 days. enjoyed my stay at christys motel. Thank you steve for all you do to keep people updated on conditions.

  2. The only people who should be complaining about the roads are people who own or rent houses and have to use the roads to access the trails. If your staying in a motel like i do you should have no problems making it to the trails cause i never do. Wonkadoo.
