Old Forge, NY Trail Report 2-27-12

At 4pm the temp is in the mid 30's and it was snowing an hour ago, but that has stopped now. This week looks like it's going to be a replay of the last two weeks. Good temps and forecast for the week and then who knows for the weekend. Let's hope the end of the week turns out like the last two, with snow on Saturday and good conditions. But like always, only time will tell!

Wes....Thanks for the video you did for all of us to enjoy this season! He and Brenda spent 21 days in the north country this winter, got riding in on most of those days and took the camera out just about every day. A few days it was pretty ugly, but they made the best out of it and enjoyed what was given to them.

Here's Today's Video for......

  2. Steve, It was a pleasure staying with you at the motel & being able to do whatever little bit we could to help you put a informative website together for all snowmobilers to enjoy. I know from some of the comments on the blog that alot of the bloggers are not your customers, yet you still treat everyone the same. I'm sure most people don't realize how much time, effort & money out of pocket goes into keeping your website, videos & camera's up to date. Like the other morning we were there & the electric went off at 5 am, you not only had plowing to do, customers to check in & out etc. & still managed to go out & restart all the camera's manually. As a great man once said "let he who is perfect cast the first stone". Once again thank you for everything & we'll see you next year, We already have a count down in progress!!

  7. Just got back from a quick trip to Old Forge. Arrived yesterday at 2, left today at 3:30 and rode 160 miles. Brought a friend up who had never been there before. He totally enjoyed it. The riding was really good and it was so nice to be there. It was beautiful there yesterday. Thanks for all the work you do with the web cams. The cams and the blog can really help a person make up their mind whether to do that quick trip or not. Here's hoping there's more snow there so we can come back a time or two before we put the sleds away.
