Old Forge, NY Trail Report 2-19-12

It's been a very busy weekend here in the north and if you've been watching the cams you know what I mean. The lake effect we got yesterday afternoon really helped with the conditions and it gave the groomers something more to work with. Traffic has been heavy this weekend with it being a holiday, but everyone seems to be having fun. Except maybe the guys that lost their keys and had to get a set cut so they could go home. The only problem is, the closest place to get them is in Utica.

Here's Today's Video for......

  1. I can't have enough praise today as I have been out all day and have witnessed on two different times, the Police had people pulled over for speeding. Kudos to them!

Great job Steve! Thanks for your great reports!

  2. It was a great Thurs - Sunday in OF, great riding, great food and drink. No matter what anyone says, it was good riding. Some areas need snow, but it is better than you think.

  6. Why do people bitch, if you cant afford gas, then you should not ride. If you come on this site after going to maine, then you really wish you would of been in OF. Please, people stop bitching about OF. They do a great job and the groomers did a great job. Go on a Maine website and praise Maine, I am happy for Maine - I am sure it is an amazing place, but this is an OF site, praise OF, if you cant, don't comment. This is a blog about OF and yes there sometimes are not great things that happen, but all in all it is a great place.

    1. Ya Maine is a great place and it's sad I had to drive that far but wanted my scheduled week on vacation to be awesome on my new sled. I really do wish I was in old forge. I love old forge and it's also an awesome place ro ride. I'm still not giving up hope to ride there this year. Check out the old movie theater, really cool place and inexpensive nite out. Thanks for all you do Steve. I don't miss a posting. Looks like people are having fun.

  7. I've been going to OF for more years than I can remember. I myself have asked about gas prices just trying to compare them to my area. Nothing wrong with that. I'm always looking for the best pricing on things I buy.
The one above must of had a bad day.
