Old Forge Trail Report

I don't know about any of you, but I'm getting a headache from looking at the forecast for tomorrow. It seems like everytime you look it changes and no two of them are the same. That can be a good thing, because when they are different most times it means it's still up in the air. When all of them are the same that is what we're going to get. So cross your fingers it's all snow or sleet and NO R and we'll have a good week of riding after tomorrow.

Today's Video.......

  3. Well my optimistic prediction of the full season kicking in by today was WRONG - UGH....

I miss looking at 3-4 foot snow banks and tons of loose powder on the outside edges of the trail. This is the worst season I can remember for a variety of reasons. And there's no reason to believe it's going to improve which would be just amazing really. I'm now praying to be up next Tues. 1/24 for some decent condition's....yet another week down the tubes.....

    T.T.

  4. I got a Baaaad feeling about the balance of this season. I'm not being over reactive or Mr. doom and gloom either. This is just a nasty pattern and there is no big change in sight. I would agree that a big dump will come at some point but will the base last. this entire situation just sucks the big one !!!

  5. Everyone has to think positive. Just got back tonight to Jersey from Old Forge. The trails were remarkably in good condition but the traffic was light. We went to Stillwater and out to Inlet usin g the trail system and it was fine.

  6. I'm coming up next wed morning. I hope the conditions at least stay to what they are now cause I'm runing out of options when to come up canceled two trip already and shouldn't have canceled last weekend from the report. At this point no need to wait for pristine conditions might not get them this season just wanna get some riding in. Let it snow!!

  10. We were up Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Averaged 130 miles a day. The ice base made for some fun riding. The 6" powder rode well. No snirt and no rocks. Glad we came up and thanks for the daily reports, it made a big difference in coming or staying home. We were spoiled last year. Get there and ride !!!!
