Old Forge, NY Trail Report

Did you notice that? I called it a trail report. Still isn't what it has been in years past, but we are getting there.

Thanks to everyone for all the kind words yesterday!

Today's Video......

I will send my blessings, to him for MR. Frosty. I wont be up til the end of the month. It always snows after I make him. Had to cancel this past weekend.

FOR SHAME ON YOU NOT GETTING UP THERE. LOL

Someone PLEASE make that snowman to keep that white stuff falling into the coming weeks.

  4. First and foremost, Thank you Steve, You are Awesome.
Yeah, snow is here... I must say, getting snow to ride on was a great treat. However, I was disappointed by the lack of grooming in OF yesterday morning. Once you got out to the Stillwater trail or Moose River Plains, conditions were great but there were only maybe 2 trails in OF that looked like they may have been touched by a groomer (2 and 29). Later in the day you could tell they were out but I thought they would have been out at night getting them ready for the morning ride. Maybe they were, and I apologize if so, but I felt like I was riding a JetSki at times.

    1. think of the ratio of sleds to groomers, and you need snow to groom. jerry

  6. I like the temps I see now BUT the long range forecast is not good for snow. It seems that it's such a hit and miss this year. After this week Accuweather is predicitng a big warm up. We so need a 2-3 foot dump then we can sustain the base through uncooperative weather. Nobody cares about temporary warm ups when you have a good solid base..What a bummer !!!

    1. It all depends on how bad you want to ride. Conditions aren't as good as they could be, but you are able to ride and that is saying something right there with the way this season has gone so far. It does look like we will be getting some more snow this week.
