Old Forge, NY Snow Report

Well I'm sure everyone has noticed by now that the R of Monday didn't do us any favors, never changed over to snow at night and stayed R till early Tuesday morning. We got a dusting to an inch after it changed over during the day yesterday. I had someone ask if there is enough to maybe get some riding in and I really can't say for sure. I have some guests in now that went out to give it a try and I'll be able to let you know later how it really is. I would have to guess it's limited, but they left 4 hours ago and haven't returned yet. Wait a minute, that could be a good thing or not so go. I'll let you know.

Here's Today's Video for......

  3. Logged 63 Miles last night. Trail 5 is actually in Great Shape compared to most of the trails or winters. Get onto 4th lake and head into MRP. The first few miles are thin but from The Big T to Indian Lake Side is in Great shape with minimal bare turns... It was snowing in MRP last night when we were exiting...

    1. bottom line there is nothing to hold on to if the nao stays positive,we are in a pacific flow with westren runner storms, we are getting brushed with light snow then rain or vice versa. there will be no sustained cold without a negative nao and greenland block wich means no noreasters or huge lake effect snows.not to say this this wont change but with the trend from the fall through half the winter it dont look good.there are 6 weeks left to winter if thats what we call this so we can $hit in one hand and hope in the other for a pattren change.
